Fireplace capacity is expressed in kilowatt heat output (kw)
Under normal South African winter conditions 1 kw has the capacity to heat up a volume of approximately 20 cubic meters .
This value will decrease with more extreme cold conditions: ie. below freezing level.
20 cu meters is equal to approximately 8 square meters for a standard room.
(square meters is calculated by dividing the cubic meter area by the height of the ceiling)
The calculation is as follows:
1 kw = 20 cu meters divide by 2,5 meters = 8 sq meters for a standard room
(Alternatively, to calculate the volume of the room in cubic meters, multiply the square meter area by the height of the ceiling)

The closed door, air control system in all models allows a variation and adjustment of temperature
for slow and high rates of burning as is required.
The closed door, air control system allows heat to penetrate into all corners of the living space
without the smell of fuels penetrating into fabrics, clothing and furniture.
The air control systems allows you to load the stove at night when you retire, adjust it to slow burning,
clear out the ash in the morning and reload for further continuous burning the next day.
Spares for the invincible range, such as Pyrex type heat resistant door glass, fire grates, throat plates, legs, etc., are readily available.
