Johannesburg Gauteng

Johannesburg customers can plan a built-in braai or fireplace for homes and renovations in Sandton, Randburg, Midrand and Roodepoort. Highveld weather brings strong ambient UV, summer thunderstorms and winter frost. Those conditions make the installation setting as important as the address. An exposed entertainment area and a warm indoor room call for different material choices and different maintenance expectations. Our braais units is available in wood, charcoal and gas burning or a combination thereof.

Steel Grades:

Johannesburg is inland and has no coastal salt exposure. For outdoor or covered installations, 430 stainless steel and 304 stainless steel remain the normal options. 430SS is a sensible choice for ordinary Highveld use; 304SS adds corrosion resistance where a more protective finish is preferred. Strong sunlight, summer rain and frost cycles should inform placement and routine care, but they do not make 316SS a standard requirement. Enclosed or indoor installations can use 430SS, 304SS or mild steel, according to the product and the room. 316SS is technically suitable as a premium upgrade, although it is not the usual Johannesburg starting point. Material selection must also follow the chosen unit’s listed options. Deluxe, Professional, Spit and Double-Sided families are not offered in 316SS, even where a customer prefers that grade.

For an alteration or new build, choose against the final opening rather than the temporary construction state. A roofed area that remains open to driving rain is still a covered outdoor installation; a fireplace room that closes fully may use the indoor options described above. This keeps Highveld weather care separate from a coastal-grade recommendation.
