South Africa’s built in braai specialists since 2002. We supply a complete range of built-in braais to suit every budget and entertainment space — from compact 800mm units to large 1500mm braais for entertaining crowds.

Choose from three material grades:
– Mild steel – ideal for indoor spaces and inland areas
– 304 stainless steel – corrosion-resistant, suits most South African climates
– 316 marine-grade stainless – Ideal for coastal areas within 5km of the ocean

Our built in braai range includes Standard, Deluxe, Professional, Double Sided, Combination (gas & wood), Spit Braais and Freestanding Braais. Every unit includes an ember maker, ash pan and  braai grid as standard.

A built-in braai is permanently installed into a brick or concrete surround, unlike a freestanding braai which can be moved. Built-in units suit homeowners renovating an existing braai area, building a new entertainment space from scratch, or working with a builder on a new-build. What is the difference between a built-in and a freestanding braai?
A built-in braai is fitted permanently into a brick or concrete surround and cannot easily be moved once installed, while a freestanding braai stands on its own base and the flue simply exits through the roof making relocation easier if needed. Built-in units suit a dedicated entertainment area; freestanding units suit smaller spaces (no brickwork needed) or is ideal for tenants who may need to take it with them.
What size built-in braai do I need?
Built-in braais range from 800mm up to 1500mm wide. As a rough guide, 800–1000mm suits smaller patios and family use, while 1200mm and above suits larger entertainment areas or frequent entertaining
Which steel grade should I choose?
It depends on your location and how exposed the braai will be. As a general rule, mild steel suits indoor use, 304 stainless steel suits most South African climates, and 316 marine-grade stainless is recommended within roughly 5km of the coast. Note: our Deluxe, Professional, Spit and Double-Sided ranges are offered in mild steel (with 304 stainless available on some models by special order) rather than 316 stainless — if you need 316-level coastal protection, our Standard range offers this.
