How To Measure Your Brick Braai:

All measurements must be taken from various places inside your existing brick braai to establish if your Brick cavity runs straight
& does not narrow-in, in certain areas
EG.
Fig.A – Left to Right – will be measured;
Bottom, Middle and Top
– then –
At the Back wall of your braai: Bottom, Middle and Top
You will use the smallest of these measurements taken.
This can be applied to the other measurements as well.

Note: The final depth of your insert should be from behind your top lintel (Fig.D) less 50mm

Adjust your measurements

Now that you have all the relevant sizes for your Custom Insert Braai,
you need to adjust it for heat expansion (metal expands when heated).

Adjust your measurements to:
30mm Smaller – Left to Right
15mm Smaller – Top to Bottom
50mm Smaller – Front to Back (From  behind the top lintel Fig.D)
(This can be adjusted at your discretion and will be the actual final size you would like the unit to be manufactured to)

Things To Note:
Notes can be entered into “Notes About Your Braai” Above.

Check if you have a light fitting installed,
Please let us know on which side the light fitting is situated when Facing the braai cavity – Ember maker (Firebox) will then be on the opposite side if selected.

Check for any bricks or plastering inside your cavity that protrudes drastically inwards – this might prevent your insert from slotting in.
